Dubai in November and December: can you swim, flights from Tashkent and the tourist fee

The UAE is the closest warm sea for travelers from Tashkent: about a four-hour flight, no visa required. Here's what to expect from Dubai in November and December.

Weather and Sea

The best time for the Emirates is November through March. In November the water is about 26 °C, and December through March about 22–25 °C, so you can swim all winter. From May to September it's extremely hot, with daytime highs of 37–41 °C.

Visa

Uzbek citizens don't need a visa for the UAE and can stay up to 30 days. That makes the Emirates perfect for last-minute deals: book it and fly.

Flights from Tashkent

• Dubai — flydubai (daily), Uzbekistan Airways, Centrum Air (from late October, on Thursdays and Saturdays).
• Sharjah — Air Arabia.
• Abu Dhabi — Air Arabia Abu Dhabi (from late October, on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays).
• Flight time is about 3.5–4.5 hours.

Important this fall. Due to tensions in the region, on October 4, 2026, Air Arabia canceled some flights from Sharjah, including to Uzbekistan. Be sure to check your flight status before departure and get to the airport early — airlines recommend 3 hours ahead. We're monitoring the schedule and will let you know if anything changes.

Hotel Tourism Fee

In Dubai, hotel guests pay the Tourism Dirham fee: 7 to 20 dirhams per room per night, depending on the hotel category, for no more than 30 consecutive nights. In Ras Al Khaimah, the fee is 15 dirhams. It's paid on site and usually isn't included in the tour price.

Money and Time

• The dirham is pegged to the dollar, and dollars are easy to exchange.
• The Emirates are 1 hour behind Tashkent.
