In 1912, a powerful earthquake shook the Fanns, causing the southern slope of the Western Fann Range to instantly crumble into pieces. The river stopped, and the mountains witnessed the birth of a new “mountain eye” – Bolshoe Allo. It has a bean-shaped form, filled with icy water of an unusually rich blue color.
